Birth Control Shot After giving birth to my first baby, I and husband think of a birth control method that I can take even I am breastfeeding. One of my office mates recommended this birth control shot. Before trying it, I search for any facts about it and asked other friends how they find it after having it.
Birth Control Shot is the most practical among all the birth control methods and the most effective. The hormone called progestin is injected in the arms, buttocks or legs of a woman to prevent pregnancy. Unlike the pills like Yasmin or
Yaz lawsuit, it is injected into the body which is effective for three months. There are three types of birth control shots these are: the injections containing estrogen and progestin which are effective for one month only, norethisterone which is effective for two months and progestin which is effective for three months.
The side effect found on birth control shot is the loss of menstrual period during the first year of use and the loss of bone density. This vaccine should be prescribed by your OB-Gynecologist.
After learning some facts about it, I asked my friends how they found it. They say it is really effective. Those who already have their baby before taking the vaccine conceived after a year of stopping it, while those who take the vaccine before having a baby have difficulty of conceiving after stopping it. Unlike the contraceptive pills such as the Yasmin, this vaccine is riskier because of the high dosage of progestin injected into the body.
